Trinity College Dublin, the only constituent College of the University of Dublin, was founded in 1592. Trinity’s world wide reputation attracts students from over 90 countries to study at all levels from 1 year visiting to doctoral students. The importance placed on research ensures that our courses are continuously revised and updated to reflect recent developments particularly in Engineering and Science.
The main campus is situated in the heart of the city of Dublin and covers 16 hectares of cobbled squares and green spaces around buildings which represent the accumulated architectural heritage of over 3 centuries as well as state of the art modern buildings. Many of Ireland’s important cultural and historical centres are within easy walking distance of the College.

For the year 2007/2008, the research income for the Faculty was €38.8m with over 2,500 peer reviewed publications in leading international journals. In the same period, some 200 students graduated with research degrees. There are 19 undergraduate and 26 postgraduate courses offered within the Faculty, so there are plenty of choices for 1 year visiting students.
